Sustainable baby travel essentials
Travelling with a baby makes a lot of rubbish: pouches, wipes, nappies and single-use bottles. These UK brands publish real eco credentials (certifications, organic or reusable materials), and each claim below links to the brand's own page.
A low-waste travel packing list
- Refillable water bottle and reusable snack pots (fill them after security).
- Reusable wet bag for muddy or wet clothes.
- Muslins: bib, blanket, sun shade and burp cloth in one.
- A few organic-cotton layers you'll keep using at home.
- Solid or refillable toiletries in a small washbag.

FAQ
What baby travel essentials are most sustainable?
Things you reuse: refillable bottles and snack pots, reusable wet bags, organic-cotton layers you'll use at home too, and gear bought second-hand. Pack less, buy once and pass things on.
Are reusable nappies practical on holiday?
They work best where you can wash, such as a self-catering stay. Many parents use disposables on the travel day itself. Bambino Mio sells a days-out bundle and a wet bag for this.
Can I take baby food and milk through UK airport security?
Usually yes, in reasonable amounts, and you may be asked to taste it. Rules vary by airport, so check gov.uk and your airport before you fly.
