Key facts (last checked: 30 Oct 2026)

Units follow the UK / US switch in the header (cm and kg, or inches and lb).

Infant fare and lap-infant age

Infants must be at least 7 days and under 2 years. Babies 2 to 7 days old need a doctor's report; under 48 hours aren't accepted. Lap infants travel on a discounted infant ticket with a special baby belt; on international flights Turkish says the discount varies by route and date (domestic infant fares are published in TRY). A seat can be requested for an infant at a discounted child fare.

Infant baggage allowance

Piece system: 1 piece (23 kg) plus 1 foldable stroller (max 115 cm). Weight system: 10 kg plus 1 foldable stroller. Cabin: 1 piece of 8 kg. No extra infant allowance on Ecofly on routes without a free allowance.

Pushchair and stroller rules

Strollers travel free in the hold. You can use it to the aircraft gate and hand it to staff, but Turkish says that under airport rules strollers can't be returned at the aircraft gate and must be collected from the baggage reclaim belt (it lists Guangzhou as an exception).

Cabin: A stroller can be accepted as cabin baggage if it's no more than 23 × 40 × 55 cm and 8 kg, in a storage bag or pouch, with a cabin tag.

Car seats and child restraints (CRS)

Car-type infant seats need a purchased child-fare seat, must be no larger than 40 × 40 cm, have their own harness, fit between the armrests, and go next to the parent, preferably at a window (not aisle or exit rows).

Bassinet or cot

Free, must be requested at reservation, on aircraft with fixed front dividers in Economy and Business. Bassinet 75 × 34 cm open; for infants up to 11 kg (parent's weight declaration). Can't be used during take-off, landing or turbulence.

Baby food and milk

Turkish says additional baby food isn't offered on domestic and short international flights unless you request a special meal.
