Princess Cruises With a Baby

From Princess Cruises' own website, checked October 2026.

Short answer: babies can sail with Princess from 6 months on its Europe cruises, but you'll need a 12-month-old for a transatlantic crossing. Cribs are free to request but first come, first served, jarred baby food is complimentary if you ask in advance, and no nappies or swim nappies are allowed in any pool. Princess sails round trip from Southampton, so you can skip the flight. Compare it with other lines in our cruise line baby rules table.

Sailing from Southampton

Princess calls Southampton its main UK departure port, about 1.5 to 2 hours from London, and lists Sky Princess, Majestic Princess, Caribbean Princess and Regal Princess as operating from there, on British Isles, Mediterranean, Norway, Scandinavia and transatlantic sailings (Princess: cruises from Southampton). Going by train with a baby is easy: see our pushchairs on trains guide.

Is Princess right for your baby?

Princess suits families with a baby who want a no-fly cruise from Southampton, free baby food and a relaxed pace. There's no drop-off care for under-3s on most ships, and no pool time in nappies. If you want a nursery, MSC has Baby Club for 0 to 3s, while P&O Cruises and Cunard also sail from Southampton with a Night Nursery.
