Royal Caribbean With a Baby

Minimum age
- Infants must be at least 6 months old on the sailing date for most voyages.
- It's 12 months for transatlantic, transpacific, Hawaii, Australia and South America sailings, and any cruise with 3 or more consecutive days at sea (Royal Caribbean UK FAQ).
- Royal Caribbean says infants who don't meet the policy will be denied boarding, with no refund (international age policy).
Cribs
- Free cribs on request before your cruise.
- For safety, the baby must weigh 14 kg (30 lb) or less and be 89 cm (35 in) or shorter. Each crib has a fitted sheet and mesh sides (baby and toddler amenities).
Milk and supplies
Royal Caribbean says you can bring enough breast milk for the first day plus pumping supplies, but regular milk can't be brought on board. It recommends packing formula, nappies, a pushchair and other essentials (baby and toddler amenities).
Royal Babies & Tots Nursery
Drop-off sessions for 6 to 36 months, run by youth staff, on select ships only. Royal Caribbean's UK site says an hourly fee applies (US $9 to $12) (kids and teens).
A lower-impact way to sail
If you can, choose a sailing that leaves from a UK port. That skips the flight, which is the biggest single cut you can make to a cruise holiday's footprint.
